WE Arts invites artists to apply for the new Weekly West End Art Market.
26 weeks of local arts and creativity at Jim Deva Plaza.
New this year ~ artist led Arts Workshops ~ free to the public/by donation.
Every Sunday May 7th to October 29th from 11am to 6pm (rain or shine).
Up to 32 artists will be featured each week, 2 per 10×10 tent.
Artist fee $40 per week, for table chair and shared tent.
20% reduction for 4 weeks booking ~ $130.
Additional 20% reduction for the whole 26 weeks up front ~ $880.
Artist may bring their own tent if they wish, please be sure to inform the market manager in you application, there is no reduction in fee if you choose this option.
Interested artists, artisans and musicians should apply as follows:
Be sure to include your Name, Phone, E-mail and brief description of your work, along with 3 photos (jpg or png) of your work, and you Website (if applicable). Please also state where you live.
Successful artists will be advised by email.
As a member organization, selected artists will be required to purchase annual membership to WE Arts, annual membership is currently $20.
Market fees are payable in full, in advance. And are non-refundable.
In the interests of the community and other artists, we offer the following guidelines… No-shows or early departure are considered cancelation of your pre-paid agreement to participate, resulting in space being offered to other qualified waitlist artist. With 1 week (7 full days) written notice of change/cancellation (with acknowledged response from our market manager) we always do our best to accommodate, but can not guarantee. Please carefully check your committed dates. Thank you.
The market runs for 26 weeks, so we look to blend a healthy rotation and build regular featured artists, based on merit and fit.
Priority will be given to local artists resident in the West End, with up to 50% a mix of Vancouver wide and BC artists.
We celebrate diversity and welcome both first timers, local community groups and arts groups to get involved, showcasing local talents, crafts, arts and performances.
Jim Deva Plaza has been created to celebrate community, come share your art and culture.
Each week 2 paid musician slots are available, artist fee $100.
We also have space for 2 food trucks each week, fee $50
Artist led workshops offer $100 artist fee and up to $100 towards materials (once sponsor secured this may change). Artists interested in leading workshops should submit brief proposals to the email below.
