This month, Michael Gordon, City of Vancouver, Senior Planner for Vancouver-Downtown, is February’s featured story teller.  Michael has given several tours and presentations on both the West End and Downtown Vancouver.   His story will focus on “The History of the West End High Rises”.  We encourage you to listen, sketch and bring your own stories and historic photographs of the West End to share with the community.

“Tales From the West End” is an evening to explore and experience our community through stories about our common past. The event is held at one of Vancouver’s intriguing historic buildings, formerly known as “Maxine’s Hideaway” and now home to a JJ Bean coffee shop.

Save the Date : The next Tales from the West End is expected to be the 3rd Tuesday in March at JJ Bean, save the date : Tuesday March 21st 2017, same time 5.45pm to 7.30pm.

PLEASE NOTE we are seeking a volunteer to assist a few hours a months with this event. The role is simply co-ordinating speakers, attending the event and ensuring our on-line media partners receive updates. Please contact info@WEArts.ca if you are interested. Thank you.
